  1. I love Doré too, especially the set of the Old Testament and a little book of illustrations and sketches on Spain. His images are everywhere, but he doesn't seem to have a very wide recognition in the art world.

    Let me see... the first one is from "Paradise Lost", 2 and 3 from Dante's Divine Comedy, and the last one is the awesome Don Quijote. What's the third one about? Arthurian Myths, perhaps?

      The one with damsel in distress is from Italian epic poem Orlando Furioso.
